Another fairly incomprehensible mélange from ultra-prolific Japanese director Takeshi Miike, the 2010-set “Zebraman” is daring for its swerve into the tropes of family filmmaking, rather than the violent extremes of movies like “Audition.” But that doesn’t mean he’s abandoned his style of random, seldom sensible semi-surrealism: this “Men In Wack” farrago filigrees its conflict between superheroes and serial killers with aliens and gay bureaucrats, watermelons and strange babies, and of course, a homemade zebra suit donned by the nostalgic, lonely hero, a dull schoolteacher. 115m. 35mm.
