It starts with insomnia and grows worse: In Anthony Stagliano’s “Fade,” nightmarish things happen to a man who thinks he’s in fine shape, but who grows increasingly unwell from a rare sleep disorder. (To sleep, perchance to scream.) Stagliano’s script is chatty, and clever sound design is a plus in this hazy, overly ambitious effort that strains for mood and portent. 74m. (Ray Pride)
