Scott Galloway and Brent Pierson’s 2006 documentary, “A Man Named Pearl,” captures African-American topiary artist Pearl Fryar, the best-known citizen of a small South Carolina town. His living sculptures, covering almost four acres, which he tends to with great intent, are beautiful in so many ways.
